We are now seeking a Programs Coordinator to join our team in Mackay. The role involves planning and implementing The Smith Family suite of Learning for Life programs within the community. You will maintain key relationships with a range of stakeholders, including families in the program, partner schools, community groups and volunteers. You will also be responsible for reporting and tracking the progress of the programs, including resources and budgets, contributing to The Smith’s Family vision.

A day in the life of a Programs Coordinator might look like this, but really every day will be different:

  • Establishing and maintaining Partner School relationships and monitoring progress, planning and implementation, and feedback on programs and activities
  • Continually monitor program delivery and ensure the database has accurate and up to date information
  • Advocating for and answering enquiries relating to The Smith Family educational programs
  • Meeting with fellow team members to discuss potential improvements that can be made to the program
  • Working with community leaders to identify partnership opportunities

It takes a special kind of person to be one of our Program Coordinators. Our successful candidate will bring the following:

  • A genuine care about supporting the educational outcomes of young people.
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining strong partnerships and relationship development.
  • Relevant experience dealing with a large number of program-related enquiries.
  • Excellent time-management skills and the ability to maintain accurate data.
  • Hold a current drivers license.
  • Hold or be willing to undertake a Working with Children Check
  • Be willing to undertake a National Police Check
