The Smith Family is an independent children's charity helping Australian children living in disadvantage to get the most out of their education, so they can create better futures for themselves. As we lead up to our Centenary, it’s an exciting time to be joining our family.

We are currently seeking a National Manager, Corporate Partnerships to lead our Corporate Partnerships Team. Reporting to the Head of Strategy & Philanthropy, this pivotal role will drive the corporate fundraising roadmap by identifying and securing strategic multi-year corporate partnerships and support a national team to develop a range of corporate relationships and fundraising mechanisms aimed at revenue growth helping us achieve The Smith Family’s vision.

A day in the life of a National Manager, Corporate Partnerships might look like this, but every day can be different. Primarily, you will be responsible for:

  • Analysing corporate partners and market data to identify opportunities
  • Developing and implementing effective processes for the Corporate Partnerships function, including reporting, acquittals, budgeting, business development pipeline and partnership management
  • Proactively engaging with internal and external stakeholders to enable revenue growth
  • Developing a strong pipeline of prospective corporates and identifying opportunities to maximise growth existing portfolio of strategic partners
  • Overseeing prospecting plans, proposals and acquittals developed by the Business Development and Relationship Management teams
  • Overseeing the development of robust cultivation and stewardship plans for all corporate partnerships, ensuring engagement and support from across The Smith Family to help deliver the partnerships
  • Leading, mentoring and coaching the Corporate Partnerships team to delivery on strategy and targets

Our successful candidate will bring the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline and/or demonstrable transferable skills in a similar or related role
  • Five+ years of fundraising experience in the NFP sector, including corporates
  • Documented track record of meeting and exceeding financial targets by attracting new corporate partners, and stewarding and growing existing partners
  • Experience in pitching and presenting to corporates
  • Experience leading teams or groups
  • Strong ability in strategic thinking and strategy development
  • Outstanding persuasive ability and influencing skills
  • Exceptional presenting and communication capability
