  • Become part of our family and make a difference to young Australians through supporting their education
  • Great opportunity to develop your fundraising career
  • Permanent full-time opportunity
  • Sydney, CBD

Due to an internal appointment, an opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual interested in developing their fundraising career in a thriving Major Gifts team at one of Australia’s leading children’s charities.

The Smith Family is an independent children's charity helping Australian children living in disadvantage to get the most out of their education, so they can create better futures for themselves. As we lead up to our Centenary, it’s an exciting time to be joining our family. We are currently seeking a National Major Donor Coordinator to help us achieve The Smith Family’s vision.

In order to strengthen our fundraising team we are seeking a well-organised and highly driven individual to provide administrative support to the Major Donor Fundraising team. Reporting to the National Manager, Major Gifts and working with a dedicated and passionate team, the role of the National Major Donor Coordinator will be the first port of call for all major giving enquiries and should therefore demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, including the confidence and flexibility to communicate with a broad range of people.

Here’s why we think you’ll love The Smith Family:

Living up to our employment promise, our team members tell us that working for The Smith Family they have great job flexibility and the ability to work alongside committed, passionate and professional team members whilst engaging in challenging, interesting, and purposeful work. In turn, our team members believe that they offer commitment to our vision, mission and values and effective collaboration with fellow team members to deliver strong performance outcomes and make a difference to the lives of Australian children every day.

We are looking for an individual who understands the importance of philanthropy and who is passionate about what they do and committed to making a difference – if this sounds like your next role, please click apply, we’d love to hear from you. You may view the position description attached. For any other information, please contact Gemma Elliott, National Manager, Major Gifts at [email protected], using the subject line: National Major Donor Relationships Coordinator enquiry via EthicalJobs.

Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate must be prepared to undertake a National Police Check and a Working with Children’s Check.
