Hub Support Coordinator - Townsville

Reporting to the Project Manager – Communities for Children and working with a dedicated and passionate team, this role will provide support to several Community Hubs in Schools to maintain alignment between hub operations and intended objectives of the National Community Hubs program, contributing to The Smith Family’s vision.

A day in the life of a Hub Support Coordinator might look like this, but really every day will be different:

  • Provide coordination, liaison and support function across all community hubs within the local areas for which they are responsible
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with hub leaders and school principals (or their delegate)
  • Actively provide opportunities for hubs to collaborate on the delivery of services in partnership with each other
  • Facilitate links between hubs and local settlement services agencies, community service agencies, early years’ services, and other relevant local services and organisations
  • Be the first point of contact for hub leaders to support them in implementing the quality framework locally

It takes a special kind of person to be our Hub Support Coordinator. Our successful candidate will bring the following:

  • Tertiary qualification (preferably in the areas of education or social services/volunteering) or extensive relevant experience in this field
  • Highly effective communication skills that demonstrate professional and appropriate language in written and verbal form for a variety of audiences
  • Exceptional ability to establish, build and maintain internal and external networks and relationships
  • Demonstrated experience in delivery of evidence informed and outcomes driven programs
  • Excellent time management skills ensuring the ability to plan and project anticipated workloads to meet deadlines
