about the role

We are now seeking new Early Years Admin Officer to join our team. The primary purpose of this roles is to support the Early Years (EY) team in providing regional support and co-ordination of the Early Years team functions under the framework of the nationally developed policies and program plans.

A day in the life of an Early Years Admin Officer might look like this, but really every day will be different:

  • Organise venue hire, catering and other requirements for EY’s programs, special projects and other functions as required
  • Ensure invoices are coded correctly and forwarded through for payment efficiently
  • Make travel and accommodation bookings for EY’s team as requested, ensuring correct forms and completed and authorised, in accordance with TSF Travel policy
  • Follow up and process casual facilitator timesheets on ADP in partnership with the EYC’s
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist and support EY’s Team in program implementation (collection and entry of data and surveys, development and distribution of newsletters, emails etc)
  • HR Support (arranging meetings, management of new/replacement IT equipment for the team, ensuring that Facilitators have the equipment and information they need to fulfil their roles, etc)
  • General Admin (couriers are arranged and receipted efficiently, keep internal directories up to date in a timely fashion, design and record procedures or processes for an EY’s Manual)

It takes a special kind of person to be our Early Years Admin Officer. Our successful candidate will bring the following:

  • Minimum 3 years in administration and/or general office roles
  • Certificate IV or equivalent in Administration
  • Proven ability to establish, build and maintain internal and external networks and relationships
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in organisational administration (including computer literacy and time management)
  • Advanced user of Windows based programs including; Outlook, Word and Excel Demonstrated experience working autonomously and achieving against deliverables
  • Highly effective communication skills that demonstrate professional and appropriate language in written and verbal form for a variety of audiences
  • Capability to work independently to achieve identified goals and manage competing demands within time constraints
  • Holds a current driver’s licence
