Our organisation specialises in providing services such as settlement engagement and transition support, social support groups, volunteer program, quality Aged Care and Disability in the Eastern Suburbs, North Sydney, Sydney City and Inner West areas.
About the Role
Operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, you will be responsible for fulfilling all rostering requirements and providing administrative support across our services. This is a full-time position based at our head office in Daceyville.
We are looking for a positive and motivated Rostering Officer who enjoys interacting with care workers and building strong working relationships within a supportive team environment.
The Rostering Officer will work closely with the Aged Care & Disability Manager, HCP/NDIS Case Managers and Finance team to ensure the efficient coordination of services for clients and support staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage weekly rosters for Home Care Packages, Disability and Brokerage services
- Ensure rostering complies with SCHADS Award requirements
- Respond to changes in client service requirements and communicate updates to Case Managers
- Manage day-to-day roster changes and cover unplanned absences
- Proactively identify and resolve scheduling complexities in collaboration with the team
- Maintain forward leave planning schedules and identify future staffing requirements
- Input and maintain accurate client and staff records, including correspondence, progress notes and care plans
- Review care worker timesheets, mileage claims, rosters and employee details
- Respond to or direct enquiries from staff, care workers, clients and visitors
- Provide general information regarding Consumer Directed Care, Home Care Packages and NDIS services
- Assist with program administration alongside the Aged Care & Disability Manager, Case Managers and Care Workers
- Provide administrative support to Aged Care and NDIS Case Managers, including client documentation, service coordination and follow-up activities
- Maintain care worker information on Visualcare and Shiftcare systems
- Experience with Visualcare and Shiftcare systems is preferred but not essential
- Assist Case Managers with organising staff meetings and training sessions
- Attend relevant meetings and training as directed
- Work collaboratively as part of a team environment
Essential Criteria
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar rostering or administration role
- Strong administration and organisational skills
- High attention to detail and ability to take initiative
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Must have Australian work rights or permanent residency to be eligible for this position
Desirable Criteria
- Experience within Aged Care, Home Care or Disability Services
- Knowledge of SCHADS Award rostering requirements
- Experience assisting Aged Care and NDIS Case Managers with client administration and service coordination
- Experience using Visualcare and/or Shiftcare systems
- Bi-lingual or multi-lingual skills, particularly Mandarin and/or Cantonese
- Understanding of Consumer Directed Care, Home Care Packages and NDIS services
