Community Mental Health Service is committed to the provision of quality health services to the mental health community. We aim to deliver mental health services which, through research and innovative commitments, set standards that are emulated by other national and international organisations. We aim to lead through achievement and innovation in clinical practice, research, teaching, training and management. We are committed to developing the highest skills in our community mental health staff through the LHD’s pioneering Diploma of Mental Health program, structured workplace competency development program, and supervision programs.

WHERE YOU’LL BE WORKING

The registered nurse position is based in our Mobile Assertive Treatment Team at Camperdown Community Mental Health Service. The Mobile Assertive Treatment Team is a small and supportive multidisciplinary team of registered nurses, social workers, psychologists, occupational therapists, a psychiatry registrar and psychiatrist. The Mobile Assertive Treatment Team covers the Camperdown, Marrickville and Redfern catchment areas.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

The Mobile Assertive Treatment Team is a tertiary level community mental health team providing care coordinated services to consumers diagnosed with a severe and enduring mental illness and who require an enhanced level of support to sustain living in the community.

In the role you will coordinate the care of consumers and provide discipline specific nursing skills and targeted interventions.

THE REQUIREMENTS

Recognised tertiary nursing qualifications and registration with AHPRA.
Demonstrated competencies to provide contemporary mental health practice.
Current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
