About Red Nose

Red Nose is Australia’s leading authority on safe sleeping and safe pregnancy advice and has been a key provider of bereavement support following pregnancy, infant and child loss for over 40 years. Our advocacy role is focused on saving the lives of babies through prevention of deaths and learning from the experiences of bereaved families whilst utilising evidence-based research.

About the role

We are seeking a talented person to join our team of educators and deliver Red Nose’s work in health promotion, training and education in perinatal and infant health and safety across the ACT.

Reporting to our National Health Promotion Manager, the role will help parents and carers understand safe sleep for their baby by providing education and public health messages on safe sleeping practices. The Community Health Promotion Coordinator will also provide specialised training to build knowledge and support for health professionals, police, emergency department staff and support workers.

Key to success in this role will be the ability to develop strong relationships with internal Red Nose staff and external stakeholders to implement actions and initiatives in support of our important work and project deliverables.
