Stillbirth is a hidden public health crisis. In Australia, six babies are stillborn each day and our rate of stillbirths has remained largely unchanged for the past two decades. Stillbirths in Australia occur at a rate 35% higher than the best-performed countries.
A consortium of organisations headed by Red Nose Australia has been funded by the Australian Department of Health to deliver a national Stillbirth Education and Awareness Program. This program will provide advice and information about stillbirth prevention, increase awareness of stillbirth, provide targeted strategies to reduce stillbirth in high risk groups and encourage public conversations about stillbirth as a public health issue.
Our vision is to create a simple and practical plan to increase awareness of stillbirth, remove the stigma that surrounds it, and assist in reducing stillbirth rates by addressing key modifiable risk factors.
The Campaign Coordinator is a key operational role within the Stillbirth Awareness Campaign and is responsible for managing the deliverables that sit within the campaign's project plan.
The role will work to produce compelling communications collateral (in conjunction with our creative agency), plan and implement communication and marketing activities, and support the successful delivery of our communications and campaign strategy.
As Campaign Coordinator, you will bring to the role:
