We work with families across Australia, providing free access to professional counselling services for anyone impacted by the death of a baby or child, for as long as they need us.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This part-time role (2 days per week) works from our Perth office (Kensington) and reports to the Clinical Manager Bereavement Services as part of the Bereavement Services Team.

The primary focus of this position is to deliver timely and effective grief and bereavement counselling to clients who have experienced, or been affected by, the sudden unexpected death of a baby or child.

Working closely with the Intake Services Team and Peer Support Team, the role provides a client focused services that is evidence based and delivered as part of a culture founded in clinical and operational excellence.

Working with the Red Nose education team, the role will also include the development and delivery of grief and loss training as required.

ABOUT YOU

Red Nose is looking for a suitably qualified, professional and passionate Bereavement Counsellor who is interested in making a difference in the lives of those who have been impacted by the sudden unexpected death of a baby or child.

If you have experience in working with bereaved children, adults, families and a comprehensive understanding of grief and bereavement literature and evidence based practice, we want to meet you!

SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential:

  • Degree qualified in counselling and/or psychology
  • Minimum three years' experience in a similar clinical counselling role
  • Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
