Duties include:

  • Managing supported deployment of the Bait Setter in Australia, New Zealand and other early adopter markets
  • Liaising with stakeholders to ensure commercial demonstrations are successful
  • Building direct sales relationships with industry – website, marketing, distributor relationships, customer relationships
  • Building IP relationships
  • Ensuring existing grants are acquitted appropriately, and identifying new funding opportunities
  • Maintaining and enhancing relationships with regulators and keeping regulatory environment informed and processes moving
  • Finding and acting on new opportunities that align with the company’s mission and purpose

The ideal candidate

An entrepreneurial mindset will be key to making this role really work. We require someone who can see and act on new opportunities, and who displays drive, initiative and good judgement in their work.

The ideal candidate will have broad management experience, understand risk and opportunity and be able to respond to the strategic direction of the Board. They will be a great team player and an excellent communicator with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships across diverse stakeholder groups. A genuine interest in sustainability and the role of new technology in creating sustainable primary industries is required. A 12-month arrangement will be offered, with the possibility for extension. This is a senior level role and a competitive remuneration package will be negotiated, commensurate with skills and experience.
