St John of God Health Care has a new opportunity for a Project Coordinator – International Health to manage programs by ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, collaboratively and effectively to achieve their objectives. 

This position is based in Australia and will require regular collegiate communication with the Program Leaders as well as team members based outside Australia. It requires occasional visits to Timor-Leste or other countries where St John of God Health Care (SJGHC) operate programs.  This role will positively affect our programs by ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, collaboratively and effectively to achieve their objectives.

This position will be offered on a fixed term full-time basis for 18 months. 

Responsibilities include; 

  • Developing and coordinating the implementation of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) Accreditation Project that will result in SJG Social Outreach International Health being accredited with DFAT.
  • Creating and implementing a project management process for International Health including overall coordination of projects being executed within the International Health programs. 

The successful candidate will have;

  • A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a health related field, Education, Management, Public Policy, Public Health, Project Management, International Development, or International Health.
  • Demonstrated experience in project and change management, project management methodologies and delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to recommend, develop and support the implementation and monitoring of operational plans, strategies, policies and activities.
  • Proven ability of working with people to build capacity, lead and manage outcomes at both strategic and operational levels.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team to achieve and sustain professional excellence, improved patient care and practice change.
  • Demonstrated time management and organisational abilities.
