The Position

St John of God Mental Wellbeing Services (MWS) are community based and provides service to people aged 16 and over. The MWS provides therapeutic mental health counselling and support, group work and referrals for families experiencing mental health difficulties. These services are offered on a non-residential, non-crisis basis.

We currently have an opportunity available for a fully qualified and experienced Mental Health Clinician, with MBS provider capability, to commence as a member of our multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidates will be based at Ballarat, but willing to work from a hub site as required.

The role requires that the successful candidate will be eligible for a Medicare Provider Number.

This 12 month part time contract is offering a 30.4 or 38 hours per fortnight. Hours of work to be discussed during interview.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
  • Registration with (AHPRA) or Psychology Board of Australia.
  • High-level written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience/ability to provide group programs and individual therapy to adolescent (16yrs+) and adult patients/clients presenting with a myriad of concerns.
  • Demonstration of research and evidence based practice methodologies and ability to undertake quality improvement activities.
  • Current Drivers License.
