SHINE for Kids is the only national charity in Australia that works solely to support the children and families of people involved in the criminal justice system. We work to lessen the effects of imprisonment on children and families through early intervention, support and information. We advocate for the rights of children at all levels and we believe that our services are needed now more than ever.
The Northern Rivers Child and Family Manager is responsible for overall management and supervision of SHINE for Kids programs at the Clarence Correctional Centre. Programs delivered include:
This is pivotal role reports to the National Programs Manager and supports a team of three Program Coordinators to provide programs that strengthen the bond between children with a parent in prison and parents in custody. As a key member of the Senior Management Team you will lead and motivate your direct team and participate in cross-functional team meetings. In this unique role you will also drive direct service delivery facilitating life changing programs for families impacted by incarceration.
In this newly created role, the Northern Rivers Child and Family Manager will be required to form your own team, to supervise and support.
You will be creative and collaborative by nature and will enjoy working through a different approach to each client and situation, and will thrive in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same!
