Shine Connections is a not-for-profit organisation whose mission is to build communities both in Australia and internationally that are invested in education and positive social change. We are in an exciting time of development with a new name, a new board and the opportunity for an energetic and passionate Part Time Chief Executive Officer to support the creation of a new strategy for our Melbourne based, international, grassroots organisation.

The CEO position is a PT subcontractor role of approximately 20 hours a week paid at $50/hr and would suit someone who is looking for the flexibility of performing their job while working from home.

role requirements

The CEO will be tasked with developing a strategic plan to ensure the effective operation and sustainability of Shine Connections. With a network of Directors, staff and volunteers in Australia and Cambodia, the CEO acts as a support person and manages organisational structure with clear delegation.

Aside from this, the CEO must also oversee the delivery of services to a high standard. As the public face of Shine, the CEO should play an active role in the growth of the organisation. This may range from connecting with other similar non-for-profits, to seeking grants and funds from high-profile donors.

While not required, Shine Connections is looking for a professional with previous experience in an executive role. Otherwise, those with extensive experience in the not-for-profit or international development sectors are greatly encouraged to apply. Candidates must also demonstrate a passion for youth education, and the determination to drive this rapidly growing organisation to success.
