Are you a budding journalist or an experienced writer who is passionate about purpose-led business?
Established in 2014, the Shared Value Project (SVP) is the peak body for advancing the adoption of shared value in Australia and New Zealand.
A membership-based organisation, SVP’s mission is to raise the capacity and commitment of business to solve our region’s most prevalent issues profitably. It does this through the delivery of education programs, events and evidence-based research, to support the community of practice.
The Shared Value Project has an exciting short-term opportunity to join its dynamic and impact-driven team as a copywriter for the 2020 Shared Value Summit Asia Pacific, from Wednesday 10 June. Our ‘Summit journalist’ will be responsible for producing insightful and engaging news articles to summarise the key presentations and panel discussions within the program.
Following the main program on June 10, the event will also include a webinar series over the months to follow (dates to be confirmed). Our copywriter will need to be available during this initial day, and for the webinar sessions (if not, accessing a recording of each).
This role would be ideal for a qualified writer, or a journalism student looking to build up his or her portfolio.
This year’s event, themed ‘The Climate For Change’, and will explore how business and society can pursue a more resilient and sustainable future at this critical time. It will examine the region’s response to crises from COVID-19 to Australia’s bushfires and droughts, which have exacerbated issues including mental health, climate change and inequality.
Please send a copy of your CV and a brief cover letter (up to 150 words) addressed to Cerisse Denhardt (Communications and Media Lead) to email@example.com, using the subject line: Journalism Volunteer Application via EthicalJobs.
Please also send two to three recent examples of your writing, preferably news articles.
