Seniors Rights Service provides support to older people to know and assert their rights. We have a free legal service as well as aged care advocacy and service system navigator programs. Seniors Rights Service also delivers community education and information of relevance to older people across NSW.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Due to exciting growth, we have opportunities for two new Financial Advocacy Officer positions funded through the National Aged Care Advocacy Program (NACAP) to join Seniors Rights Service.

Financial Advocacy Officers work in close collaboration with our Aged Care Advocates and are responsible for providing support to advocates and older people receiving aged care services to better understand and navigate costs and pricing that support consumer choice.

These roles will provide support and specialist financial advocacy in line with the National Aged Care Advocacy Framework. Financial Advocacy Officers do not provide financial advice or counselling.

These positions can be based in either our Surry Hills (Sydney) or Newcastle offices, where all our employees have access to hybrid work arrangements which include a blend of community-based, office-based and remote working arrangements. These positions are offered on a 35 hour per week max-term contract arrangement to the end of June 2025, aligning with the current funding period.
