The Community Campaigner will develop and implement the Senator’s campaigns strategy in the Senator’s portfolios and campaigns, ensuring a strong community engagement and digital-first presence. This role will create and action a comprehensive engagement plan focused on building mutually beneficial relationships across strategically identified communities. In addition the position will assist with consultation, liaison and administrative workload of the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation of People with Disability.

KEY WORK AREAS

  • Implement the Senator’s campaign strategy, including:
    • Development and actioning of a state-wide and national community engagement plan, complete with both online and off-line participation opportunities
    • Online and off-line community engagement activities targeted at strategically identified communities.
    • Supporter engagement and activation pathways utilising email and direct messaging
  • Build mutually beneficial relationships (online and off-line) within strategically identified communities
  • Work with the Senator and their team to develop an integrated Community and Constituent Response Strategy covering all forms of community contact
  • Liaise with national and state campaigners on national campaigns to build mutually beneficial relationships that progress the Senator’s campaign priorities
  • Identify campaign opportunities that support parliamentary work and parliamentary opportunities to support ongoing campaigns
  • Assist with the administration of Printing and Communications budget in line with the campaign strategy and community engagement plan
  • Accompany the Senator during WA based community engagement activities, as required
