Take a lead role in the implementation of strategies, policies, activities, resources, materials and plans for consumer and stakeholder engagement for SEMPHN.
The Engagement Officer role engages with stakeholders and consumers to improve community health outcomes for people in the SEMPHN catchment.
The focus of the Engagement Officer role is to develop programs of activity which support SEMPHN’s communication and engagement with consumers and community, partnerships with stakeholders, as well as providing guidance to the broader organisation on engagement related activities.
To be successful in this opportunity you must have relevant qualifications in social sciences, community engagement, stakeholder management or communications and/or extensive experience in community engagement or public health, knowledge of Primary Health Care, ability to prioritise, strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with confidence to present, capacity to build rapport in person and over the phone with people of all ages and stages, including community members, General Practices and stakeholders as well as proven ability to liaise effectively with people from a range of social and cultural backgrounds
With this fantastic opportunity you will need to be a self-starter, work effectively under general direction and as part of a team, comfortable with engaging and communicating face to face with community groups, good writing skills and strong attention to detail, especially with project reporting, good organisational skills and work to deliver projects within deadlines.
