ABOUT THE ROLE:

In this role you’ll be working with a small, tight-knit and passionate team, working to deliver on one particular project in collaboration with external stakeholders.

This public facing role will require you to contribute to developing project plans, maintaining meticulous records, engaging with the general public, helping with event planning and implementation, attending stakeholder meetings for effective collaboration and some bike maintenance. The role will commence in late July with a 10 month contract provided. In this role, you’ll gain experience in project management and evaluation under the supervision of experienced staff, while developing your customer service and community engagement skills. And it’s a fun project!

SELECTION CRITERIA:

ESSENTIAL

  1. Confidence in basic bike maintenance and a willingness to learn about electric bikes
  2. Some customer service or public-facing experience, preferably higher level community engagement experience
  3. Experience working effectively in a small team
  4. A demonstration of meticulous record-keeping
  5. Ability to work independently and the initiative to improve processes when necessary

DESIRABLE

  1. Bike mechanic experience
  2. Event planning experience
  3. Excellent communication skills covering verbal and written communication, as well as social media or content creation experience
  4. A passion for sustainability in the urban context
