  • Position Purpose: To provide administrative support to Sector Connect projects including Volunteering Macarthur

Sector Connect Incorporated is a regional peak body supporting the community service sector in South West Sydney. We are looking for a new team member to be a part of supportive small team that cares about our community. We are looking for a motivated and reliable person to provide general administrative office support for our team and support our Volunteering Macarthur Program. This is a great role for someone that is proficient at office duties but would like to extend their experience by interviewing, engaging and mentoring volunteers from diverse backgrounds to achieve their goals.

Essential Criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in general office procedures
  • Competency in Microsoft software packages including Outlook, Access, Publisher, Word, Excel and the Internet
  • Ability to maintain a website and market through social media
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to be flexible and to use your own initiative
  • Able to work independently and as part of a diverse team
  • Understand and comply with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) legislation
  • Ability & patience to engage, mentor and supervise volunteers who identify as; culturally and linguistic diverse backgrounds, living with a disability including mental illness, LGBTQIA and/or other diverse groups
  • Familiar with financial processes and accountability
  • Strong organisational skills
  • A working with children’s check/national criminal records check or a willingness to under go one

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience working in the community service sector or with volunteers
  • Driver’s License
