Seawinds Community Hub at Capel Sound has operated a highly successful Community Kindergarten and Long Day Program service. The existing expertise within the staff and management, and strong support from partners, particularly Eastbourne Primary School has enabled the Centre to achieve Exceeding National Quality Standard and provide excellent early learning, family and parental support.

We are very proud of our quality programs that facilitate learning through play, tailored to meet each child’s needs. It enables children and their families to flourish in a nurturing, supportive and education-based environment led by energetic, committed, and knowledgeable educators.

As the Educational Leader you will use your experience and leadership qualities to engage and motivate your team to drive continuous improvement in all aspects across the operations and to extend your network of relationships with children, families and educators.

Key Accountabilities for the position will include:

  • Maintaining and enhancing quality service delivery of LDC and Kindergarten
  • Leading a team through successful Assessment and Rating processes
  • Effective relationship management – you love people and they love you!
  • Budgets, Quality Improvement planning and business acumen
  • Lead the manage the performance & development of your team – know how to inspire people and keep them engaged and accountable
  • Great Curriculum knowledge that can inspire our educators to know more and do more. Practice what you preach and lead by example
  • A great all-rounder – knows the sector, fast paced, with a strong continuous improvement lens, and a contributor to change

Our Selection Criteria:

  • Having a Diploma / Bachelor in Early Childhood Education
  • Management experience gained through work experience in the Early Childhood sector is essential
  • Exceptional communications skills, both written and oral, with a strong customer service focus;
  • Strong NQS, EYLF, QKLG, MTOP, KIMS and CCS knowledge
  • Exceptional planning and time management skills with high attention to detail
  • Demonstrating resilience and professional conduct under pressure
  • Strong commitment to professional learning and self-development
  • Confident, energetic, and action-orientated
  • Ability to lead and develop teams - knows how to enhance teams and make them shine!
  • Independent, reliable, and ethical mindset with professional integrity
  • A willingness to maintain established social outreach networks that support the local community and their families
