Become a House Manager

Fina is currently recruiting a House Manager to lead and supervise Disability Support Workers to ensure best practice delivery of Services and Supports to clients at Fina's sites.

These leadership positions are responsible for ensuring that clients' needs, as determined by the clients, their representatives allied healthcare professionals and our own Clinical Nurse, are met.

House Managers create harmonious environments to ensure that clients, friends, family, advocates, and staff members work together cooperatively to deliver each client's Service Agreement and achieve Progressive Lifestyle Strategies in accordance with Fortnight Delivery Plans.

House Managers report to the General Manager. They work collegiately with the senior management team while ensuring adherence to Fina's values, policies and procedures.

House Managers will work with the Clinical Nurse and the nursing team to implement Fina's comprehensive proactive Covid 19 strategies in the event of a re-emergence of the pandemic.

Successful candidates will:

  • Have demonstrated previous leadership experience in the disability and/or or human services sectors;
  • Have a Certificate lll in Disability Services or the equivalent and
    • Blue Card and Yellow Card
    • an unrestricted Queensland driver's licence
    • Senior First Aid Certificate and CPR;
  • Demonstrated experience in administrative functions including the development and maintenance of all relevant documentation;
  • Have a willingness to learn and to work in multi-disciplinary teams;
  • Have good communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills;
  • Be self-directed and reliable;
  • Be flexible and willing to adapt their working life to accommodate the needs of Fina's clients, their families and their colleagues.
