The Communication Access Team at Scope’s Communication and Inclusion Resource Centre (CIRC) are seeking a champion of project management in supporting and driving projects in the area of communication access.
"Communication access occurs when people are respectful and responsive to individuals with communication difficulties, and when strategies and resources are used to support successful communication.” (Johnson, West, Solarsh, Wyllie & Morey, 2013, p.7).
Our purpose is to create more inclusive and accessible communities for people who experience a range of communication difficulties. We work with businesses to award Scope’s Communication Access Symbol ensuring the business provides goods and services to meet Communication Access Standards
This role is based in Hawthorn, Victoria. Remote working will be considered for the right candidate and regional and interstate candidates are encouraged to apply.
Your role would be to work alongside our skilled team of Speech Pathologists and Communication Access Assessors who have a lived experience of communication disability, to manage and direct a range of individual organisations and business on their communication access journey. The role includes:
