The Role
As the Team Leader Counselling (Loddon) & Youth Lead, you will play a pivotal role in:
- Leading a dynamic team of Generalist Counsellors, Psychological Treatment Services, Clinical Care Coordinators, and Youth Counsellors.
- Enhancing the quality and coordination of counselling services across SCCH.
- Providing direct clinical services and managing a caseload.
- Overseeing day-to-day operations, including staff supervision, budget management, and service delivery.
- Engaging in complex case assessments and representing SCCH in sector meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Mentor and support a diverse team, fostering a positive workplace culture and promoting professional development.
- Operational Support: Manage service demand, client allocation, and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Clinical Excellence: Provide high-quality clinical support and develop staff skills in therapeutic services.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to integrate and enhance service delivery.
- Innovation: Utilise evidence-based practices to support health promotion and effective program outcomes.
An amazing candidate would have the following:
- Proven Experience: Demonstrated success in providing clinical support and supervision, and managing complex cases.
- Expertise: Extensive knowledge of current evidence-based practices in mental health and counselling.
- Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and make informed decisions.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships and foster collaboration.
- Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related discipline.
