Where you come in:

In this casual position, you will deliver innovative youth programming across the Greater Sydney Region and Regional NSW. You will facilitate child rights education and child participation programming using trauma informed practice, creative technologies, and arts-based activities to engage young people in personal development, advocacy, and community participation. You'll be part of our Australian Services team and report to our Team Leader, Youth Development. Due to the nature of the role, there will be a requirement for some regional travel in NSW.

You will make an impact by:

  • Planning and implementing high-quality activities to engage young people
  • Creating safe and engaging spaces where young people can share, learn, and grow
  • Facilitating Child Rights and Child/Youth participation programming
  • Empowering young people to share their voice on issues that impact or concern them
  • Fostering young people's connection to support and their communities

This role requires:

  • Relevant qualification/s in Youth Work, Community Services, Social Work, or related field
  • Proven experience in working with diverse young people, often with complex needs
  • Knowledge of the issues facing diverse young people in Western and South Western Sydney
  • Experience in trauma informed practice working with young people
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills including computer literacy
  • Full driver licence
