Save The Children

Be part of Save the Children's Back on Track program, an NT government initiative which aims to prevent youth crime, divert young people away from the youth justice system and provide alternatives to detention. We need you to be part of a dedicated team to maximise the impact of our programs on the lives of young people. In this role you can make a difference, while growing your own professional development.

Save the Children is no ordinary not-for-profit.

We're ambitious, creative and outspoken. We stand up for children's rights. We want all children to be educated, healthy and live a life free from violence. In the Northern Territory, we support families by tackling issues at a community level to help children get the best start in life. See here for more information on our work across the Territory.

In this full time, fixed term position (to July 2022, with potential for extension) you'll provide one to one mentoring with young people to build a strong trusting relationship and develop individualised goals. You'll work to offer practical assistance such as transport and encouragement to attend appointments, making referrals and supporting young people to engage with a variety of services whilst reconnecting to family, community, and culture. You'll be part of our NT Programs Team and report to our Team Leader.

Please note: Due to COVID-19 border restrictions, this role is currently open only to candidates based in the Northern Territory.

We strongly encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates to apply.

This role requires:
