Where you come in:

In this full-time permanent position, based in Malaga, you'll work with a small but dedicated team to ensure products are receipted and despatched in a timely fashion. Working with our state network of op shops, you'll ensure stock levels remain optimum and be responsible for all associated warehousing operations. You'll be part of our Retail team and report to our State Retail Operations Manager.

You will make an impact by:

  • Supervising the warehouse in compliance with Save the Children's policies and vision
  • Setting up and maintaining distribution centre layout to ensure efficient space utilisation
  • Liaising with retail shops, members of the broader team, and transport company contacts when necessary
  • Supervising, motivating, and mentoring a team of volunteers
  • Identifying and driving improvements to the day-to-day running of the warehouse

You are an effective team supervisor with demonstrated experience in the day-to-day running of a warehouse. You have high expectations for yourself and your team. You deliver work of a high standard and consistently monitor the quality of output to identify ways to improve and develop operations and staff. You are a hands-on retail manager looking for your next challenge and knowing that your work will make a real difference for children.

This role requires:

  • A proven ability and demonstrated versatility in aspects of warehouse supervision
  • Strong leadership skills and a demonstrated ability to supervise staff
  • Knowledge in transport and distribution processes relevant to a busy distribution centre
  • High levels of interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • An ability to prioritise your own work and a commitment to ensuring performance indicators and met and exceeded where possible
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
