No two days are the same in Save the Children Australia's Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters (HIPPY) Program which runs across the Clarence LGA. We need you to lead our dedicated team of tutors to maximise its impact on the lives of families. We're seeking someone who has a passion for assisting our communities most vulnerable children.

Where you come in:

In this, part-time, maximum term position (4 days a week, through to end of December 2021) based in Clarendon Vale, you'll lead up to 5 tutors to deliver HIPPY activities across multiple areas in the Clarence region. You'll foster lasting links with the community and our service partners, while encouraging active engagement with the services. As part of our Australian Programs team, you'll report to our Regional Manager.

You will make an impact by:

  • Managing the operational running of activities and development of programs
  • Building and maintaining effective networks and relationships to promote the HIPPY program, generate support and creating effective referral pathways
  • Providing regular leadership to the HIPPY team through professional supervision
  • Managing relevant budgets
  • Monitoring program contracts (under guidance from the Regional Manager) to ensure contractual obligations are met

This role requires:

  • Experience working with children and families from diverse backgrounds, with knowledge of Child Safety Services and mandated reporting responsibilities
  • A Diploma level certification in a relevant field (or current progress towards)
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Proven leadership skills, the ability to nurture a cohesive team
  • Ability to develop, implement, monitor and evaluate activities
