Where you come in:

In this part-time (4 days per week) permanent position, based in Carlton*, you will be one of the operational voices and faces of the organisation, caring for the day-to-day needs of our potential and existing supporters. You will be part of our Fundraising team and report to our Supporter Care Manager.

You will make an impact by:

  • Proactively handling inbound and outbound supporter communications
  • Working with key communications stakeholders to maintain and improve responses to frequently asked questions
  • Maintaining a supporter centric and customer focused approach
  • Contributing towards retention and fundraising targets to help us continue our work
  • Understanding our organisational need to remain agile so we can protect vulnerable children in need, respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, and to advocate for children's rights

You are a compassionate and empathetic supporter advocate who strives for the highest level of customer care. You're committed to ensuring timely and on-brand responses to supporters following prescribed processes and are also comfortable improvising when needed. You're motivated and inspired by the work that we do and passionate about standing up for children's rights.

This role requires:

  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role with a customer-centric and solution-seeking approach
  • Experience working with a donor database or customer relationship management system
  • Exceptional verbal and written interpersonal skills
  • High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and quality
  • Ability to multi-task and manage your time effectively
  • Knowledge and experience of the not-for-profit sector is desirable but not essential

*While COVID-19 social distancing restrictions are in place, this role works remotely (i.e. from home or an alternative location). Once the pandemic restrictions are lifted, the role will be based in our office in Carlton.
