Where you come in:

In this full-time permanent position, based in either our Darwin or Perth office*, you will work on timely and accurate financial and management reporting (including preparation of budgets and forecasts) on state office operations and programs, as well as overseeing the processing of income and expenditure. You will be part of our Finance team and report to our Finance Business Partner, Australian Services.

You will make an impact by:

  • Preparing budgets and forecasts for state operations
  • Assisting Regional Managers and the State Director with the development of budgets for proposals and tenders for new programs
  • Preparing and reviewing month end reports and commentary
  • Preparing donor acquittals and supporting the central finance team with audit processes
  • Supporting the State Director and Regional Managers with ongoing management and maintenance of the Award Management System

You are process driven, ensuring finance procedures and accounting principles are adhered to, and have strong negotiation skills that make you comfortable holding others to account. You work well under pressure in a proactive manner and have proven success in embedding continuous improvement in the workplace.

This role requires:

  • Graduate degree in Accounting or other business-related degree
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working in a similar finance role
  • Experience in management reporting and operational accounting
  • Prior experience working with an ERP system
  • Excellent time management and experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong computer literacy (including advanced Excel skills)

*While COVID-19 social distancing restrictions are in place, this role works remotely (i.e. from home or an alternative location). Once the pandemic restrictions are lifted, the role will be based in our office in Darwin or Perth.
