Save the Children is no ordinary not-for-profit.

We're ambitious, creative and outspoken. We stand up for children's rights. We want all children to be educated, healthy and live a life free from abuse and neglect. We deliver services in every state and territory in Australia and, if there's a disaster - like an earthquake, bushfire or drought - we are there on the ground.

In this newly created part-time, fixed-term position (2.5 per days per week until end of January 2021 - days flexible, and potential for extension) you'll spearhead a flexible and mobile workforce initiative to be rolled out across VIC, NSW and SA. Working directly with central office teams and program teams across the three states, you'll drive the project team to deliver the vision for a flexible, engaged, productive and mobile workforce who can deliver impactful services to children and families. Based anywhere across NSW, VIC or SA, you'll be part of our broader Australian Services team and report to our Director Southern Region.

You will make an impact by:

  • Managing project planning and tracking with key Agile tools
  • Fostering a team spirit and drive collaboration, including facilitating daily stand-up meetings
  • Ensuring the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritisation, team accountability, and visibility
  • Identifying and removing impediments, prevent distractions, reduce interruptions to the overall project
  • Working with the service teams to ensure the project allows the delivery of great quality services to children and families.
