Program Development & Quality Director - Port Moresby

Save The Children

We operate high quality, results-oriented humanitarian programs in the Pacific, to support children and their families in times of both crisis and peace. Save the Children has been supporting communities in Papua New Guinea (PNG) for more than 40 years, working across all regions, and are committed to be a platform for transformative and lasting change for children, their families and their communities.

Save the Children is no ordinary not-for-profit.

We're ambitious, creative and outspoken. We stand up for children's rights. We want all children to be educated, healthy and live a life free from violence. We run programs in PNG and overseas and, if there's a disaster - like an earthquake, drought or conflict - we are there on the ground.

  • Providing leadership, strategic vision and direction to the PNG country program as a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT)

  • Identifying and responding to the unique support needs of both expatriate and national staff in PNG
  • Leading the design and proposal development of cost effective, innovative, high quality and child informed emergency and development programs
  • Ensuring the provision of high-quality technical assistance and capacity building to all PNG country office programs, projects and staff by managing all internal and external technical assistance
  • Developing and implementing a robust Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) system in PNG
