Where you come in:

In this full-time, maximum-term position (through to the end of June 2022), based in the Pacific (preferably Port Moresby, PNG), you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Cash Transfer Program (CTP) interventions on time and on budget and build our profile in CTP - including positioning our organisation as a sector leader. You will be part of our Humanitarian team and report to our Senior Pacific Cash Technical Advisor.

You will make an impact by:

  • Assisting in the implementation of cash preparedness and response activities by working collaboratively with Save the Children Country Offices (based in Vanuatu, Solomon Islands, PNG, and Fiji)
  • Conducting assessment and training among internal and external partners
  • Working with financial service delivery partners and mobile network operators to ensure effective and efficient cash delivery
  • Participating in cash coordination and another humanitarian coordination platforms
  • Working with the Senior Humanitarian Advisor on project designs, proposals, workplans, and budgets
  • Ensuring oversight of strategic programmatic priorities and the development and delivery of quality CTP programs to deliver the best humanitarian outcomes

Does this sound like you?

You're ambitious and knowledgeable in the world of Cash Transfer Programs, ideally with project management experience. You have strong negotiation and problem-solving skills, and a positive relationship with finance and monitoring. You are self-motivated, flexible, and driven to see results to deliver the best humanitarian outcomes and maximise our impact for children.

This role requires:

  • Master's degree in Humanitarian Affairs, International Development, or related field
  • Demonstrated experience in project and grant management in humanitarian response and programming
  • Proven experience working on cash projects in the Pacific
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including developing funding proposals and report writing
  • A strong ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
