Where you come in:

In this full-time, permanent position reporting to the Chief Technology Officer and based in your choice of Brisbane, Sydney, or Melbourne, you will enable the scaling of our impact on children's education through your contributions to delivering innovative and reliable solutions.

You're not scared of taking risks, you're not afraid to ask for help, and you're ready to work with a passionate and specialist team of technology, literacy, publishing and education experts to take our organisation's technology to the next level!

This role requires:

  • Significant experience with Android SDK, iOS a bonus
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs
  • Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
  • Understanding of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Initiative and a wiliness to learn new things and get things done
  • Solid understanding of web technologies (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Experience building and maintaining mobile apps within a commercial environment
  • Experience with Agile/Lean methodologies
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
  • Exposure to React, Vue, Angular, etc. is not required but desirable

Position Description - Mobile Applications Developer

* While COVID-19 social distancing restrictions are in place, this role works remotely (i.e. from home or an alternative location). Once the pandemic restrictions are lifted, the role will be based in our office in Brisbane, Sydney, or Melbourne.
