Where you come in:

In this full-time, permanent role, you'll have a unique opportunity to apply your impact measurement skills across our Australian Services. You'll lead our Fidelity and Impact Measurement team, and report to our Head of Practice and Impact Measurement. Based in any capital city of Australia, you'll have flexibility to work from home or from one of our state offices.

You will make an impact by:

  • Leading the Fidelity and Impact Measurement team and function, building a 'culture of evaluation' across our Australian Services
  • Designing measurement architecture, tools and instruments to monitor program fidelity to produce a picture of the organisation's overall impact
  • Ensuring our measurement architecture delivers continuous improvement and demonstrates our impact for children
  • Strengthening the evidence base of our programs and building consistency of implementation across our diverse service portfolios
  • Influencing conversations with a broad scope of internal and external stakeholders, positioning Save the Children Australia as a leader in Child Rights programming

Does this sound like you?

You're an expert in impact measurement in the sector, and you'll draw on your practice experience with children and families to deliver on our ambitious change agenda. Your empathy and highly developed interpersonal skills give you a flair for engaging differing stakeholders across diverse backgrounds and experiences. You're able to convey complex concepts in a straightforward manner and build the capacity of others through the way you conduct your work.

This role requires:

  • Experience evaluating programs in the Australian children and families sector
  • An ability to translate complex impact measurement concepts to practitioners
  • Demonstrated experience in working with a wide range of community service cohorts
  • A related degree and experience in therapeutic practice along with a post-graduate qualification in research and/or evaluation (may be some flexibility on this requirement, if significant experience in both practice and evaluation is demonstrated)
