Where you come in:

In this full-time, permanent position, based in Carlton* you will provide legal and company secretarial services to our social enterprises. You will be part of our Legal Team and report to our General Counsel.

You will make an impact by:

  • Ensuring that our social enterprises receive quality commercially focused legal and company secretarial services.
  • Advising on commercial agreements including SaaS agreements, grant agreements, intellectual property issues, data and privacy issues and tender reviews.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, including Corporations Act, ASIC and ACNC and for subsidiary entities operating in Singapore and the UK.
  • Assisting with due diligence of investee enterprises and deal structuring, and ensuring all AML/CTF and KYC requirements for the Impact Fund are met.

Does this sound like you?

We are looking for a highly motivated and values driven mid-career professional with sharp technical expertise and the ability to build strong relationships of trust with clients. Our ideal candidate would have experience working with start-up enterprises, impact investing (or other capital markets experience), technology contracts and knowledge of the charity sector.

This role requires:

  • Post-qualification experience as a corporate/commercial lawyer either in private practice or in-house.
  • Company secretarial experience.
  • Current legal practicing certificate.

*While COVID-19 social distancing restrictions are in place, this role works remotely (i.e. from home or an alternative location). Once the pandemic restrictions are lifted, the role will be based in our office in Carlton.
