Where you come in:

In this full-time fixed term position (through to the end of 2021), based in our Carlton office*, you will work on the development and implementation of website designs and applications, content publishing, and maintenance of Save the Children Australia web properties and digital platforms. You will be part of our Digital team and report to our Head of Digital Marketing.

You will make an impact by:

  • Developing new user-facing web features and collaborating with other team members and stakeholders on website updates and adjustments
  • Assisting in developing the best possible digital customer experience for our supporters
  • Leading on Content Management System (CMS) content entry
  • Ensuring the website donation process and systems are working correctly
  • Providing insights into potential ways to optimise donation processing

Does this sound like you?

You have a strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems, preferably both proprietary and open source. You enjoy the responsiblilty of interpreting and executing implementations on website front end development, and your strong interpersonal skills will mean you can effectively communicate with the digital team and stakeholders across the organisation. You're a problem solver who can adapt quickly to new web design and application trends, and you're comfortable working in fast paced environments.

This role requires:

  • Knowledge of website programming languages including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery library
  • Previous experience working with CMS (Kentico CMS)
  • Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
  • Basic understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
  • Experience in Agile supporting technologies such as Jira
  • A team player that is highly supportive of the Save the Children brand and values

*While COVID-19 social distancing restrictions are in place, this role works remotely (i.e. from home or an alternative location). Once the pandemic restrictions are lifted, the role will be based in our office in Carlton.
