About the project

To provide expert support to the Save the Children Vanuatu's Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Coordinator and Program Managers to; collate and analyse data, and preparing monitoring and final reports for up to 10 funding streams contributing to the Save the Children TC Harold response activities, COVID-19 pivot activities and general development programs - First 1000 Days and Disaster Ready.

Where you come in:

The consultant will support the team to build coherent pictures from a jigsaw of data to meet the varied requirements for each donor.

This exciting opportunity, to work closely with Save the Children Vanuatu's inspiring and dedicated team, is likely to involve 120 - 150 days consultancy delivered in a six month time frame, finishing at the end of January 2021. Occasional travel to Santo will be required.

This role requires:

  • Experience leading and coordinating Monitoring and Evaluation activities in Vanuatu
  • Experience in respectfully working with a Vanuatu team to successfully meet tight deadlines in an environment with many competing priorities
  • Experience in analysing numerical data to report on frequencies and trends
  • Experience in using software such as Excel for data analysis
  • Evaluation design skills, including knowledge of sampling techniques and evaluation tools
  • Strong written and visual communication skills
  • Attention to detail, to manage several reporting streams concurrently
  • Adherence to child protection and inclusion principles
