When disasters strike, children are always the most vulnerable. That's why Save the Children stands ready to deploy, providing immediate psychosocial support and staying as long as it takes to help children and families recover from their losses, restore their lives and build their resilience for years to come. Our newly established Journey of Hope (JoH) program works with children both in schools and online in bushfire affected communities, led by facilitators who are professionally trained in managing child trauma.
We're ambitious, creative and outspoken. We stand up for children's rights. We want all children to be educated, healthy and live a life free from violence. We run programs in Australia and overseas and, if there's a disaster - like a bushfire, earthquake, drought or conflict - we are there on the ground.
In this full-time, fixed term position (over 6 months, with potential to extend), you'll work in partnership with a Senior Facilitator to deliver the JoH program throughout the Bega region. You'll work in collaboration with schools and early childhood providers, ensuring high quality service delivery in accordance with the agreed implementation plan. You'll work in the communities around Bega that were affected by bushfires over the summer, and will report to our Team Leader - Journey of Hope.

Your strong interpersonal skills mean you'll work seamlessly in partnership with a Senior Facilitator, and you're committed to high standards of service delivery.
