In this re-scoped national role, you'll bring your highly developed analytical skills and commitment to evidence building to help demonstrate the quality and outcomes of Save the Children programs.

Where you come in:

In this full time, permanent role you'll have a unique opportunity to help shape how we collect, analyse, and learn from data and evidence. You'll work across every business and service delivery team for Australian Services and report to our Manger, Fidelity and Impact Measurement. Based in any capital city of Australia, you'll have flexibility to work from home or from one of our state offices.

You will make an impact by:

  • Developing analytical frameworks for demonstrating program and organisational impacts
  • Providing technical support on monitoring and evaluation, including theories of change, program logics, evaluation designs/frameworks and measurement tools - leading this work on key projects
  • Supporting business development activities and processes to embedded best practice monitoring and evaluation into the design of programs
  • Building capacity within teams for monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning
  • Working collaboratively across teams, to effectively leverage all available supports

Does this sound like you?

You're experienced in working with complex monitoring data in a research or evaluation context, designing data analysis plans to measure outcomes. You thrive in a fast paced, complex environment and can manage competing priorities. You enjoy engaging with differing stakeholders across diverse backgrounds as you work with teams to support monitoring, evaluation and reporting activity, and build capability for measurement. You're able to convey complex concepts in a straightforward manner and build the capacity of others through the way you conduct your work.

This role requires:

  • Degree in social or behavioural sciences, evaluation, health sciences or other relevant discipline
  • Experience in the design and implementation of mixed methods studies including complex quantitative analysis and qualitative and quantitative data analysis and synthesis, to determine implementation progress, service quality and achievement of program objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to report complex information, including evaluation reports and summaries, to a diverse range of stakeholders
