Where you come in:

In this unaccompanied 1-year fixed-term opportunity, based in Port Moresby, you will lead the technical oversight of PNG digital learning programs and ensure the successful delivery of education technology projects. You will work on gathering and synthesis of information in PNG to inform education technology business. You'll work with the Senior Management Team and report to the Director, Program Development and Quality.

You will make an impact by:

  • Identifying opportunities to grow and strengthen the digital education portfolio in PNG
  • Supporting and monitoring the strategic direction of digital education programs
  • Representing Save the Children to the international digital education community including donors, governments, partners, and NGOs
  • Supporting the development and implementation of MEAL activities including communicating impact and lessons learned from digital education program
  • Providing digital education technical expertise to support strategic planning, program development, and program quality

Effectively communicating and engaging with diverse populations, you can influence positively-tense situations to enable successful solutions. Persistence, focus, initiative and passion see you achieve objectives in difficult circumstances. Your development experience at a country level will see you channel your expertise to the betterment of children and families.

This role requires:

  • Masters/Advanced Degree in Education and Development or related field
  • Technical training in digital technology application in education
  • 5+ years of professional experience in using technology in education program design and implementation or related development programming
  • Demonstrated knowledge of global digital education trends, programs, policies and proficiency in using a range of digital education tools
  • Experience in using digital technology to administer early grade literacy assessment and familiarisation of various tools such as IDELA, EGRA, and EGMA
