Our play-centred 'Play2Learn' program in Palmerston helps young children to develop their social skills, independence and in turn their capacity to learn. We need you to provide quality early childhood education, to develop children's appetite for learning and help enable a smooth transition into school.

In this part-time (3 days per week during school terms) fixed-term (to June 2023) position based in Palmerston, you'll co-ordinate the planning, implementation and review of culturally appropriate developmental play and learning experiences for children. Reporting to our Regional Manager, you'll provide support and information to parents on developmental issues and make appropriate referrals to other health, education and welfare agencies.

You have experience in early childhood programs and the ability to think on your feet, which allows you to find solutions to complex situations. Your infectious enthusiasm for your job will see you actively seeking out families in need of support. Your cultural knowledge will help you build strong connections with children and families from varying cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. You consider yourself a team player and you have an 'all-hands-on-deck' attitude.
