Where you come in:

In this full-time permanent position, based in Sefton Park, you will assist in the day-to-day coordination of logistics of the South Australia retail store network in a proactive and professional manner. You will be part of our Retail team and report to our Retail Operations Manager.

You will make an impact by:

  • Collecting and delivering stock for Save the Children Australia op shops
  • Ensuring high level of customer focus is maintained at all times with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate communications
  • Ensuring the depot and surrounding areas are kept neat, secure, and orderly
  • Reporting maintenance, parts, and servicing arrangements for Save the Children Australia vehicle
  • Providing clear communications and visibility on delivery schedules and ad-hoc pickups/tasks/deliveries
  • Performing ad hoc projects allocated by the State Retail Manager, in line with organisational objectives

You are naturally organised and reliable with physical fitness and an ability to work in an active and physically demanding role. You are reliable and trustworthy in delivering your agreed outcomes with limited guidance to ensure your team can continue working smoothly. You have exceptional customer service skills and an eye for maintaining a welcoming environment. You enjoy seeing the fruits of your labour and don't mind a bit of repetitiveness in your work, and most importantly you have a strong commitment to Save the Children's vision and values.

This role requires:

  • A 'people person' who naturally enjoys the company of people from all walks of life
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Highly developed communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role including small truck/van driving
  • Good physical ability and willingness to undergo medical/physical check
