Where you come in:

In this casual position (generally 30-40 hours per week, depending on demand) based in Sefton Park, you will assist in the day-to-day coordination of logistics of the South Australia retail store network and ensure the efficient and effective running of retail outlets in a proactive and professional manner. You will be part of our Retail team and report to our Retail Operations Manager.

You will make an impact by:

  • Collecting and delivering stock for Save the Children Australia op shops
  • Checking stock quantities and ensuring orders are filled and delivered to maintain maximum stock levels
  • Overseeing maintenance and servicing arrangements for Save the Children Australia vehicle
  • Ensuring the depot and surrounding areas are kept neat, secure, and orderly
  • Assisting with the packing, removal, and storage of shop stock for new op shops
  • Performing ad hoc projects allocated by the State Retail Manager, in line with organisational objectives

…You are naturally organised and reliable with physical fitness and an ability to work in an active and physically demanding role. You enjoy working unsupervised and are trustworthy in delivering your agreed outcomes with limited guidance. You have exceptional customer service skills and an eye for maintaining a welcoming environment. You enjoy variety in your work and seeing the fruits of your labour.

This role requires:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role including truck driving
  • Excellent customer service focus with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Good physical ability and willingness to undergo medical/physical check
  • Basic mathematics and money handling skills
  • High levels of attention to detail and quality
