At our Bridges crisis accommodation service in Brisbane, we provide women and children escaping DFV with urgent safe accommodation when they have nowhere else to go. In these two part-time fixed-term roles (one role at 3 days per week, the other 4 days per week, until June 2023), you'll be part of a multidisciplinary team providing case management support to women and children escaping domestic violence, within our crisis accommodation program. Based in Brisbane, you'll be part of our Queensland Programs team and report to a Team Leader, working shifts between 7am and 10pm, Monday to Sunday on a rotational basis with additional on-call responsibilities.
…You're an experienced domestic and family violence practitioner with high levels of initiative and flexibility alongside cultural sensitivity and knowledge. You have experience working in the mental health sector, and you're able to confidently make assessments and safety plans according to individual need, remaining calm and effective in crisis and complex situations. You have a thorough understanding of the impact of domestic violence on women and children and are able to apply that within a trauma-informed practice framework.
