Save The Children

Are you a data-obsessed optimisation specialist looking for the opportunity to use your skills to make a difference for children? Then we want to hear from you!

You're someone who knows how to leverage data analysis to identify opportunities for improvement in our conversion funnel, and help make our fundraising efforts as efficient and effective as possible. Your supply of factual nuggets will ensure the success of our marketing and fundraising efforts to engage and convert our vital donors. We need you to work with key internal and external stakeholders to provide reports, actionable insights and recommendations as needed. With your help, we'll offer best in class digital and donor experiences that will help us improve our impact for children who need it most.

Save the Children is no ordinary not-for-profit.

We're ambitious, creative and outspoken. We stand up for children's rights. We want all children to be educated, healthy and live a life free from violence. We run programs in Australia and overseas and, if there's a disaster - like an earthquake, drought or conflict - we are there on the ground.

Where you come in:

In this full-time permanent position, based in Carlton, you will lead a program of iterative experimentation and improvement, focused on improving conversion rates across our digital platforms. You will be part of our Digital team and report to our Senior Digital Manager, working closely with our Fundraising, Data and Analytics teams.

You will make an impact by:

  • Leading the overall conversion rate optimisation program, actively identifying testing opportunities and developing solid hypotheses to present to internal stakeholders
  • Achieving optimisation goals, budgets and targets
  • Supporting cross-organisational campaign planning for maximum efficiency and best practice user experience
  • Turning winning test experiences into permanent enhancements
  • Identifying data and knowledge gaps, and working with our teams to implement improvements

Does this sound like you?

You have a data-driven background, with experience in using web analytics tools to design and analyse user journeys and identify opportunities for improvement. You know how to balance customer-centricity with business needs and impact, and you're a strong communicator who can easily communicate technical hypotheses to non-technical colleagues and inspire and engage them with your program of work. Your passion for turning data and user experience into demonstrable outcomes will see you succeed in this role to help us achieve great outcomes for vulnerable children in Australia and overseas.

This role requires:

  • Considerable CRO or digital optimisation experience, client or agency side
  • Demonstrable success in improving conversion rates
  • Experience with key data and CRO platforms such as Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Optimizely, VWO, or Google Optimize
  • Understanding of user experience and digital channel development principles
  • Understanding of inbound multi-channel marketing, including SEO
