We're one of the largest providers of Domestic and Family Violence services in Queensland, and we need you to be part of this dynamic network of teams working together to deliver high quality support. In this varied and challenging role in our DFV Support programs in Mount Isa and the Gulf region, you'll work directly with children and young people escaping domestic and family violence.

In this full time, fixed term position (to end of Dec 2021, with potential to extend), you'll work as part of a team to provide coordinated support to families within the Domestic Family Violence and Court Support program and via outreach work, with a specific focus on the needs of children. You'll assist children to overcome the impact of witnessing DFV and collaborate with their carer, implementing our trauma informed child-focused framework. Working 38 hours per week Monday to Friday, you'll be flexible to work weekdays between the hours of 8.30am and 5pm.

You respond well in a crisis, and you have a deep understanding of how to work with children and young people who have experienced trauma.
