SAL Consulting Group is a consulting organisation with a focus on working with complex individuals, systems and organisations. We work with children and young people; people with a disability; and people who have mental health support needs, their families, and the organisations and government departments that support them.

SAL Consulting Group provides a range of service types including Clinical / Behaviour Support, Clinical Supervision, Therapy, Health and Allied Health Services, Training and Organisational Practice and Professional Development. Our Consultant Team is a diverse, trans-disciplinary group, with individuals having qualifications, specific training, and practical experience in the Community Services, Health, Disability and Youth sectors. As part of strengthening our presence in the NT, we are looking to recruit motivated and engaged practitioners for several positions.

Creating strong, collaborative relationships with individuals and organisations through communication and working together plays an integral part in SAL Consulting Group practice and ethos. We are an accredited provider of Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics through the Child Trauma Academy in USA, an accredited NDIS Provider, and a Registered Training Organisation.

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our NT team based in Darwin who has:

  1. A Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience;
  2. Current Registration with AHPRA;
  3. Experience and interest in working with people with intellectual disabilities and/or experiences of trauma who have complex needs;
  4. Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals functional needs; sensory assessment and profiling; mobility assessment and equipment provision; and holistic lifestyle assessment and associated goal setting;
  5. Experience in training and mentoring/supporting parents and families, direct care staff and educators;
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and well developed organisational and time management skills;
  7. Capacity to work autonomously as well as the ability to work in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team;
  8. A strong client focus and commitment to learning, continuous quality improvement, and ongoing professional development; and
  9. A current Driver Licence and a willingness to travel periodically to regional or remote areas and Interstate.
