Sacred Heart Mission's Journey to Social Inclusion (J2SI) program is an evidence-based intervention designed to break the cycle of chronic homelessness. We know the current service system is not effective and we're taking a different approach in our goal to end homelessness. Join a brand-new team of experienced staff with diverse professional backgrounds. Over a three-year journey, we will be delivering cutting-edge interventions with proven outcomes in stable housing, social inclusion and economic participation.
The Workforce Participation Worker is a part-time role designed to foster the independence of our participants and support them to build their capacity to re-enter the workforce. This role will join a newly funded and established team, working with the J2SI 3.5 program. This team will commence taking referrals for 60 clients to move into stable housing and build connection to their community.
As part of our Journey to Social Inclusion Team, you spend your days working to support people through all phases of job readiness, job search and post-employment support. In this maximum term part time role commencing in mid-August 2022, you will be working in the community and people’s homes as you assist them to develop goals and tailor employment strategies for each person.
